چکیده
The experiment aimed to examine the impacts of an increased growth rate ewes between three and seven months age on udder development using ultrasound establish whether ultrasonography could be used identify ewe mammary structures that may indirect indicators singleton weaning. Udder dimensions, depths gland cistern (GC), parenchyma (PAR) fat pad (FP) were measured in late pregnancy (P107), early lactation (L29), at weaning (L100) 59 single-bearing yearling selected from two treatments. ‘heavy’ group (n = 31) was preferentially fed prior breeding achieving average live-weight 47.9 ± 0.38 kg age. ‘control’ 28) had 44.9 0.49 kg. GC, PAR FP did not differ Lamb L100 positively associated (p < 0.05) with P107 GC L29. There no evidence negative effects gain treatments as by ultrasonography. results suggest this method has potential pregnant which would wean heavier singletons.

Fasting levels of growth hormone are associated with carotid intima media thickness but are not affected by fluvastatin treatment
BACKGROUND Growth hormone (GH) has been linked to cardiovascular disease but the exact mechanism of this association is still unclear. We here test if the fasting levels of GH are cross-sectionally associated with carotid intima media thickness (IMT) and whether treatment with fluvastatin affects the fasting level of GH. METHODS We examined the association between GH and IMT in 4425 individua...

Objective(s) Deregulation of the immune system through allied factors and cytokine responses are thought to be important contributors to the pathogenesis of asthma. Vitamin D3 and its nuclear receptor appear to be factors that maybe involved in regulating immune responses during the progression of asthma. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between polymorphisms in intron ...

The nature of weaning, considered the most stressful and significant transition experienced by dairy calves, influences the ability of a calf to adapt to the dramatic dietary shift, and thus, can influence the severity of production losses through the weaning transition. However, the effects of various feeding strategies on the development of rumen or fecal microbiota across weaning are yet to ...

15 صفحه اولPerformance, Health Status, and Colostrum Yield of Twin-Bearing Afshari Ewes as Well as Growth and Survival of Their Offspring are not Affected by Increasing Dietary Metabolizable Protein in Late Pregnancy
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of two dietary metabolizable protein (MP) concentrations on the performance and health status of Afshari ewes and survival and growth of their lambs during late pregnancy. For 6 weeks prior to lambing, 32 Afshari ewes were randomly assigned to two dietary treatments, containing low (LMP) or high (HMP) MP concentrations. The ewes in LMP (n=16)...
